Constructed in 1914, Kansas City's Union Station is unique. In its prime as a working train station, it accommodated tens of thousands of passengers every year. At its peak during WWII, an estimated 1 million travelers passed through the station. Today, this fully restored landmark is Kansas City's most prominent destination for cultural and entertainment activities. It also draws tourists from all over the world who marvel at the Grand Hall's 95-foot ceiling, three 3,500-pound chandeliers and the six-foot wide clock hanging in the Station's central arch. CSG attendees will not only be able to admire the station’s amazing architecture, but also will have access to Kansas City’s interactive science center, Science City, as well as National Geographic’s traveling exhibit, Real Pirates!
Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served. Dress for this event is business casual.
