Chemical Safety Advisory Committee (CSAC)

Mission/Objectives

The CSAC provides expert scientific advice, information, and recommendations to the Office
of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT) on the scientific basis for risk assessments,
methodologies, and pollution prevention measures or approaches. The Committee holds
meetings, analyzes issues, conducts reviews, produces reports, and makes necessary
recommendations to meet its responsibilities. The primary objectives are to provide expert
advice and recommendations to EPA on:
