National Association of State Technology Directors Elects Life Member from Nebraska

LEXINGTON, Ky.—The National Association of State Technology Directors (NASTD), which represents information technology professionals from the 50 states through four regions, as well as the private sector, elected a new life member at its annual conference in Baltimore in August.
State members unanimously approved Jayne Scofield, IT administrator, Network Services for the state of Nebraska, as a life member of NASTD. Scofield joins 46 other IT professionals who have earned life member status in the association. Life membership in NASTD is an honor bestowed upon individuals for years of meritorious service and outstanding commitment to the professional association.
Scofield been a member of this group of information technology professionals serving state government since 1998.
“The sharing of strategic information and ability to network with my peers throughout the United States over these years has allowed me to continue to grow and learn,” she said. “By building relationships with these individuals, as well as the corporate affiliates, I have the ability to reach out to individuals to ask questions on how topics are handled in their state, and know I will get an immediate response from multiple people, within minutes, providing a wealth of information on any topic.I am honored to be a life member of this valuable group of individuals.”


The National Association of State Technology Directors—Technology Professionals Serving State Government, is a member-driven organization whose purpose is to advance and promote the effective use of information technology and services to improve the operation of state government. State members provide and manage state government technology services and facilities for state agencies and other public entities, often including hospitals, prisons, colleges and universities. These members also play a strategic role in planning and shaping state government information technology infrastructures and policies. Corporate members provide information technology services and equipment to state government. NASTD was founded in 1978 and has been an affiliate of The Council of State Governments (CSG) since 1980.
