CSG Regions
The Council of State Governments apportions its state-collected appropriations to national headquarters, the Washington D.C. office and regional offices. The regional offices work directly with their legislative leaders and other elected and appointed officials on issues of high importance to their regions. Each CSG regional office staffs policy committees and meetings, researches projects and produces publications. Each region also provides leadership development programs for their regional members. Each region's members elect their own officers, who in turn prominently serve on the CSG national Executive Committee. Through this collaboration with the CSG national office, regions bring their perspective to the forefront of national debates and program initiatives.
