Guest Activities

Guests of attendees who are registered for the conference may participate in all conference activities including the following special guest activities at no additional cost. Please note that some activities have space limitations and registration for those events will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please check back for added activities. Tour of Federal Hill Restaurants & Shops
Go behind the scenes of some of the state's premiere Italian restaurants, sample food, talk with the chefs and enjoy time on your own for exploring historic Federal Hill. Limit 18 participants. Register now.

Rhode Island School of Design Alumni Holiday Art Sale
Rhode Island School of Design Alumni Art Sales feature thousands of items designed and created by alumni from all over the country and the world. Items for sale include fine art, home accessories, greeting cards, jewelry, paintings, furniture, rugs, clothing, photographs, glass and ceramics. Sale will take place in the Rhode Island Convention Center. Register now.

Providence Preservation Society Holiday Festival

The historic Benefit Street houses included on this self-guided tour will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Preserved, restored and furnished carefully and creatively, these houses are sure to dazzle and inspire. Walking tours of Benefit Street will be provided at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Register now.

Tour of Newport, Rhode Island
Visit includes tour of The Breakers and Marble House mansions, lunch and time for shopping along scenic Thames Street area. Rhode Island's City by the Sea will be illuminated in holiday lighting and decorations.  Register now.

Downcity Alive! Walking Tour

The Providence Renaissance meets the Victorian city center in Downcity Alive!, a Rhode Island Historical Society walking tour. Downcity hosts a fascinating mix of architecture, public art, waterfront development, cart paths turned into glorious streets, and hard luck and good luck stories galore. Residents and visitors alike shop, eat, stroll, study, go to art galleries and attend the theater in this award-winning urban center. Everything old is new again and very much alive in a re-imagined and very exciting Providence: A city with an important past and a bright future. Light breakfast included. Register now.
