Lauren Greer joined CSG in 2014. In her current role, she researches, analyzes and writes on issues pertinent to the Agriculture & Rural Development Committee and Human Services & Public Safety Committee of CSG South, the Southern Legislative Conference (SLC). She also tracks legislative issues and policy developments in Louisiana, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.
Prior to joining CSG, Greer worked for the Georgia Senate, serving as a program analyst in the Senate Budget and Evaluation Office for the Agriculture, Natural Resources and Public Safety Appropriations subcommittees and, most recently, as senior policy analyst in the Senate Research Office covering issues related to agriculture, education, retirement, and science and technology.
Greer graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in political science, and earned a juris doctorate from the University of Mississippi. She is a member of the Georgia Bar Association.
