Sean Slone has been with CSG since 2006. In his current position, he is responsible for providing staff support to CSG’s Transportation Public Policy Committee, a panel of state legislators, state department of transportation officials and private sector members. He provides guidance for CSG’s transportation policy development and analysis efforts, helps to identify trends affecting transportation policy, and develops publications and meeting agendas on transportation issues.
Slone is the author of numerous articles for CSG publications. His work also has appeared in The Lane Report, a Kentucky statewide business magazine. Slone has been interviewed on transportation issues by reporters from the Baltimore Business Journal, Stateline and USA Today.
Before moving to transportation, Slone worked with the health policy group.
A journalist by training, Slone is a former producer for C-SPAN in Washington, D.C., and worked for Kentucky Educational Television as an anchor/reporter/producer.
Slone has a bachelor’s degree in television production from Emerson College in Boston and a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, Evanston, Ill.
