Trina Sheets
Trina Sheets joined NEMA in 1993 and was named executive director in 1995. NEMA represents the state directors of Emergency Management in all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. territories. Her primary responsibilities include representing the views of the state emergency management community to the federal government, Congress and other decision-makers.
In her role as executive director, Sheets serves as the conduit between the federal government and the state emergency management agencies. She facilitates relationship building and information sharing between NEMA and other emergency management and homeland security stakeholders.
Prior to joining NEMA, Sheets was the director of public relations for the Kentucky Blood Center. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Eastern Kentucky University.
