Common Core State Standards Policy Initiative
The goal of the Common Core State Standards Policy Initiative is to inform and educate state legislators, K-12 and higher education policymakers about the common core, raise awareness on what implications the standards have for their state and promote collaboration with their state Board of Education, state-level department of instruction, businesses, parents and communities as the initiative unfolds. Through a series of five regional summits as well as targeted roundtable/outreach meetings in select states, CSG will engage attendees in a facilitated discussion on the policies and programmatic solutions needed to ensure every student has the knowledge and skills needed for a successful college experience or a career.
