The Guardian of Federalism Award is CSG’s premier award bestowed upon one U.S. Senator and one U.S. Representative each year to recognize outstanding efforts on issues concerning protection of states’ rights. The award process is administered by the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, and recognizes those individuals who have actively worked to strengthen the role of states in our federalist system through actions that prevent pre-emptions and unfunded mandates upon states, as well providing states with additional flexibility to govern and administer federally funded programs. |
