The Innovations Awards Program helps state officials by highlighting innovative programs states have developed to address public policy issues. The intent of this program is not to influence the enactment of state policies, but to highlight cutting-edge programs so that the innovations of one state may prove beneficial to others. CSG is currently reviewing the 2008 applications to determine the finalists for each CSG region. Regional finalists should be selected by the middle of May. In turn, those folks will be invited to make a brief presentation to the appropriate regional Innovations selection team. Each of the four regions will select two winners, for a total of eight Innovations awards.
