The State Environmental Initiative (SEI) is a matching grants program funded by the  U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) through the U.S. Asia Environmental Partnership (US-AEP).

SEI awards matching grants to U.S. states to forge partnerships that will engage in eligible projects and promote environmentally sustainable development in Asia. Its primary objective is to strengthen the capacity of U.S. states to foster these partnerships and to support US-AEP goals.
