What is the NGA/CSG Leadership & Management Training Series?
State governments find themselves facing nearly unprecedented challenges – big obligations, shrinking revenues, vocal interest groups and a public that increasingly sees government as part of the problem, rather than a bearer of solutions.
As you work to better the lives of citizens and regain your states footing in these uncertain times, The Council of State Governments and the National Governor’s Association Office of Management Consulting and Training can help you better recognize the challenges facing your state and help empower you to lead with innovative ideas, tools and understanding.
The Council of State Governments and the National Governors Association’s Office of Management and Training are pleased to offer a new training series for state officials: Managing in Times of Change. These free regular web-conferences seek to assist senior state officials in addressing a variety of issues relating to the leadership and management of a changing state government. Consisting of topics and sessions driven by key policy, management and administrative issues and delivered by today’s most recognized thought leaders, these conferences highlight promising state practices and innovations and provide an opportunity for cross-state sharing and networking.
