California Proposition 8  - Eliminates Right of Same-Sex Couples to Marry. Initiative Constitutional Amendment

Summary: Changes the California Constitution to eliminate the right of same-sex couples to marry in California and provides that only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California.

Florida Amendment 2 - Florida Marriage Protection Amendment

Summary: This amendment protects marriage as the legal union of only one man and one woman as husband and wife and provides that no other legal union that is treated as marriage or the substantial equivalent thereof shall be valid or recognized.
