Colorado River Forum (CRF)

The Colorado River Forum provides a much-needed opportunity for state legislators to connect and address the pressing issues and opportunities of this region. Legislative Council on River Governance (LCRG)

Established in 1998, the Legislative Council on River Governance is a cooperative, bipartisan program comprised of state legislators from Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. Voting members are appointed by state leaders in each state and meet annually. Meetings are open to non-voting members and legislative staff interested in attending.

Center for the Advancement of Leadership Skills (CALS)

The Center for the Advancement of Leadership Skills is an annual four-day leadership program for up to 30 elected and appointed legislative, executive and judicial officials. It strengthens communication, conflict resolution, consensus-building and critical decision-making skills within a nonpartisan setting.

Staff Academy for Governmental Excellence (SAGE)

The Staff Academy for Governmental Excellence is a four-day leadership program for competitively selected legislative, judicial, executive and agency staff in the Southern region. Participants develop communication, collaboration and professional growth skills while building a strong peer network.

State legislators from the Western region in their first four years of cumulative service are selected to participate in the Western Legislative Academy.
